We believe that the Bible is the authority in all things, that God is alive and that Jesus Christ can still save those who turn to Him for salvation. We believe Christ alone has the answers to all of the problems of man. Just as God stands with his hand outstretched to man, so our church does to you.

Our Goal

We strive to glorify the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and to do our part to advance His kingdom on earth. If we cannot do this, then our time and effort is for naught; if we can do this, we need do nothing else!

But Isn’t Bigger Better?

Bigger isn't necessarily better, even in Texas! We believe our size is a benefit, in that it allows us to have a closer more personal relationship with one another and grow together in our walk with Christ. Currently our Sunday morning service averages about 120 in attendance.

Missions

We contribute to the support of missionaries in Albania and Colombia and support the Texarkana Baptist Orphanage, Texas Baptist Institute & Seminary, Louisiana Missionary Baptist Institute and Seminary, Texas State Missions, North Loop Baptist Mission in Crockett, Texas, Mission Carthage and sponsor a gospel Radio Ministry in Bogota, Colombia.

Internet Outreach

We operate a popular internet site: "I Am Not Of This World",located on the web at (www. iamnotofthisworld.com). This site has served as a vehicle to fulfill over 7,500 requests for written materials from over 50 foreign countries.

Other Programs

Bible School for Kids

We are committed to the concept that the most important building program we can undertake is that of building young men and women of God. We want to issue a personal invitation to youth to join Carthage Missionary Baptist Church for our Wednesday Bible School (each Wednesday from 6:30 - 7:30 PM - We also have an adult Bible Study for Mom and Dad from 7:00 - 7:30 PM). We are looking forward to many exciting activities where we will not only learn the Word of God, but have fun doing it! Some of our previous WBS youth events were: Hot Dog Cook-out and Hayride, Water Gun War (Kids vs. Teachers and Parents), Scavenger Hunt, Fear Factor, Pizza Party, Extreme Olympics (Kids vs. Teachers), etc.

Jail, Nursing Home & Local Radio Ministries

We sponsor preaching & song services for inmates of the Panola County Jail and residents of local nursing homes each month. The church also has a live broadcast on KGAS Radio each Sunday morning.

Puppet Ministry & Youth Missions

Our puppet ministry and teen missions program is training young people for service to others. As a part of that concept we strive to expose our youth to missions by actual service in the mission field. Our youth recently taught vacation bible schools for youth in need in South Central Texas and other trips are being planned to broaden the Church’s youth mission outreach.
